About Anne J.

Anne J. Foley built a foundation in finance before she turned to the law. She earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1982. Four years later she received her J.D. from Western New England University School of Law. Those years shaped a practice grounded in practical planning and legal structure.

After law school, Foley entered practice during an era of shifting tax and estate rules. She is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Illinois and she is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Her credentials include recognition as an Estate Planning Law Specialist through the Estate Law Specialist Board, Inc. and the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. That certification marks a sustained focus on estate work rather than a short-term interest.

Her work centers on the mechanics of transferring wealth and managing affairs after an owner’s death or incapacity. She prepares wills and trusts, handles probate and assists with trust administration. Clients consult her on the legal steps that follow the loss of an estate owner, and on how to structure their documents while they are able to make decisions. The practice requires attention to detail. Foley’s background in finance gives her an additional lens for handling financial documents and tax-related considerations that commonly arise in estate matters.

Colleagues and clients have placed work involving complex estates and multi-jurisdictional issues on her desk. She is comfortable dealing with matters that cross state lines because of her admissions in both New Hampshire and Illinois and her federal court standing in New Hampshire. She has practiced through decades that saw significant changes in estate planning tools and tax treatment. That experience informs how she advises clients today.

Foley practices at Minkow & Bergman, LLC. There she works on a range of estate planning matters, from straightforward wills to ongoing trust administration. Her practice combines document drafting, probate representation and counsel on fiduciary duties. She meets clients in office settings and in conference rooms, and she has guided families through transitions large and small.

Her current practice at Minkow & Bergman, LLC handles estate planning, probate and related trust administration matters.
