About Angela
Angela Green trained as a lawyer at Western New England University School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2001. She entered the legal field at a time when alternative dispute resolution was gaining traction, and she steered her work toward mediation and collaborative methods early in her career.
She went on to found CT Mediation Center, LLC, a practice that centers on resolving family law matters outside of the courtroom. Green built the firm around mediation services and collaborative divorce processes, designing sessions that bring parties together to address parenting plans, asset division, and settlement terms.
Her approach blends practical legal knowledge with processes that encourage direct conversation. She helps clients map out options, explore priorities, and put agreements into clear language. The work often involves translating complex financial issues into terms clients can use to make decisions.
Green has been active in professional organizations that shape how family disputes are resolved in Connecticut and the region. She is a founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Professionals Group. She also holds memberships in the Connecticut Bar Association’s Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Division, the Connecticut Council for Divorce Mediation, the New England Chapter of the Association of Conflict Resolution, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Those affiliations reflect an emphasis on process development and peer collaboration. Green participates in trainings and peer consultations through these groups, and she regularly engages with other practitioners to refine protocols for joint sessions and settlement agreements. Her practice draws on techniques from mediation and collaborative law to reduce reliance on adversarial litigation where possible.
Clients who work with Green typically seek ways to keep control of outcomes and cut the time and cost associated with contested trials. She designs sessions that aim for clear, enforceable agreements while attending to the emotional and logistical realities of separation and divorce. Her files often include parenting plans, marital settlement agreements, and mediated financial resolutions.
She leads CT Mediation Center, LLC and continues to shape its services around dispute resolution in family law. Her current practice focuses on mediation and collaborative divorce services in Connecticut.
