About Angela Fritz
Angela Fritz Reyes has spent more than two decades practicing criminal defense in eastern Iowa. Based in Davenport, she has built a steady local practice since 1998, representing people charged with crimes in Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties. Her work has taken her into courtrooms at every stage of a case, from arraignment through jury trials.
Reyes began her professional career in the late 1990s and soon took on work under contract for the State of Iowa as a public defender. That contract work brought regular appearances on behalf of clients who could not afford private counsel and reinforced her daily familiarity with the region’s criminal justice system. She has balanced that public service with private practice, handling individual client matters in the same communities where she appears as a contract defender.
Her bar admissions include Iowa and the United States Supreme Court. She maintains membership in the Iowa State Bar and has been active in the Scott County Bar Association since 1998. Those local and statewide connections have kept her engaged with colleagues and the procedural developments that affect criminal litigation in the area.
In court, Reyes is known for steady preparation. She represents clients charged with a range of offenses and manages pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings and bench or jury trials. Her experience in both appointed and private roles means she has handled heavy caseloads and the practical demands of courtroom scheduling and urgent client needs.
Outside of individual cases, Reyes’s long tenure in Scott County ties her to the local legal community. She participates in bar association activities and maintains contacts across county lines that support cross-jurisdictional practice. Those relationships can be useful when a case involves neighboring counties or when coordinating with public agencies.
She operates from Reyes Law Office in Davenport. Her current practice centers on criminal defense representation in Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties.
