About Angela A.
Angela A. Stout built a legal foundation that began in Nashville and continued through Houston. She completed undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in 2004, earning a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Human & Organizational Development. She then attended South Texas College of Law and received her J.D. in 2007.
Her early legal career took shape in smaller firm settings. In 2008 she worked as an associate at Myres, Dale & Associates, P.C., a position that offered courtroom exposure and hands-on casework. Two years later she joined the Law Office of Robert S. Hoffman, P.L.L.C. as an associate, adding further family law experience and handling a mix of contested and uncontested matters.
In 2013 Stout launched The Stout Law Office, P.L.L.C., where she began practicing as a family law lawyer. Starting a practice shifted responsibilities from casework to management. She took on client intake, case strategy, and the business side of running a boutique office. Those years shaped how she approaches client communication and case planning.
Outside the office she has been active in professional circles. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Family Law Section of the Houston Bar Association. She is a member of the Burta Rhoads Raborn Family Law American Inn of Court, the Association of Women Lawyers, and the Junior League of Houston. Those affiliations place her in regular contact with colleagues and keep her involved in local legal conversations.
Her practice centers on family law matters. Over time she has handled dissolutions, custody disputes, and related proceedings that require negotiation and litigation skills. She balances courtroom work with efforts to resolve matters through settlement when that route fits a client's situation. Her time in both associate roles and running her own firm has given her a range of perspectives on case management and client advocacy.
Colleagues and clients say she brings a practical approach to family law. She aims for clear explanations and predictable next steps in processes that are often stressful. She keeps regular ties to the Houston legal community through the bar section and the Inn of Court, which provide avenues for professional development and peer review.
She practices from The Stout Law Office, P.L.L.C., and her current work remains focused on family law matters handled from that office.
