About Angela A.
Angela A. Nicolosi earned her law degree from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2010 and completed a B.A. in English at Molloy College in 2007. She moved from the study of literature to the study of law in a short span, carrying an interest in clear writing and persuasive argument into her legal training. Her time at Hofstra anchored her entry into the New York legal market.
Her first firm role came in 2011 when she joined Polsky, Shouldice & Rosen, P.C. as a lawyer. That position placed her in a firm environment early in her career, where she handled casework, client communications and the day-to-day tasks that define practice at a boutique firm. Those years introduced her to the rhythms of legal practice in the state and to the practical skills needed for client representation.
A decade after beginning her professional practice, Nicolosi became a partner at Shulman & Hill in 2021. The partner title reflects a transition from associate responsibilities to leadership within the firm. Her work at Shulman & Hill has included mentoring junior attorneys and participating in firm management alongside client matters. She has remained in private practice and has continued to develop her legal experience in the New York bar.
Nicolosi is a member of the New York Bar Association and is licensed to practice in New York. She maintains professional ties through the association and participates in the community of lawyers the organization brings together. Her background in both a regional law school and a liberal arts undergraduate program shapes how she approaches legal questions and client communications.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and straightforward in courtroom and client interactions. She tends to favor clarity over complexity in legal writing. Outside the office, she has continued to draw on her undergraduate training in English, which informs how she frames legal arguments and drafts pleadings.
As a partner at Shulman & Hill, Nicolosi oversees matters brought to the firm and helps direct case strategy and client service. Her current practice centers on the matters she handles through Shulman & Hill in New York.
