About Andy
Andy Turner built a practice that anchors him in Oregon’s legal community. He keeps a low public profile but a visible presence through his firm. The arc of his professional life is straightforward: law school, practice, then starting his own firm.
Turner earned his Juris Doctor from Willamette University College of Law, completing the degree in 2014. Willamette’s program prepared him for the bar and for the routine demands of trial preparation, client counseling and legal drafting. He moved from the classroom into practice in Oregon and established the foundation for his work in the state.
After law school he entered practice in Oregon and spent several years gaining courtroom and office experience. Those years gave him a practical sense of how legal matters develop over time and how firms operate day to day. In 2020 he founded Turner Legal Counsel, LLC and took on the role of founding lawyer. The decision marked a shift from employee to principal and required him to juggle client work with management responsibilities.
As founding lawyer he splits time between advising clients and running the firm. He handles intake, case strategy and client communications. He is responsible for the firm’s administrative decisions and for shaping the services it offers. Running a small firm has meant handling both legal questions and the practical tasks that keep a business going.
Turner maintains membership in professional legal organizations and takes part in the networks that connect lawyers across the state. He participates in continuing legal education to keep current with changes in statutes and procedure. Those activities support the practice and help him respond to developments that affect clients in Oregon.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic and straightforward in client matters. He prefers clear explanations over jargon, and he structures advice so clients can make usable decisions. He has focused his career on practicing law in Oregon and building a firm that serves local individuals and businesses. As of 2026 he practices through Turner Legal Counsel, LLC and continues to serve clients in Oregon through that firm.
