About Andy
Andy Jones returned to Texas after law school and built a practice that blends courtroom work and civic involvement. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin and earned a B.A. in 2010. He then attended Baylor Law School and received his J.D. in 2013.
He joined Sawicki Law Office in 2014 as a senior associate. Over the following years he assumed greater litigation responsibilities. In 2021 his title shifted to trial lawyer at the same firm, where he has led and argued cases in state and federal court. He is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Jones holds a Civil Practice Advocate certification from the National Board of Trial Advocacy. That credential reflects courtroom experience and a specialized set of trial skills. At Sawicki Law he has handled contested hearings, bench and jury trials, and appellate matters. Colleagues say he combines careful case preparation with a willingness to try difficult issues in court.
His professional life extends beyond client files. He has been active in local and statewide bar organizations for more than a decade. He joined the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association board of directors in 2023 and also began serving on the Dallas Bar Association board that year. He became a life fellow of the Dallas Bar Foundation in 2022 and has been a fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation since 2018.
Jones has held several leadership posts in the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He served as its president in 2022, and he previously held vice president and secretary roles. He led the association’s foundation as chair in 2020 and completed a leadership class there in 2015. His State Bar involvement includes time on the Court Rules Committee, where he served as vice chair and then chair in consecutive years.
He is a member of the William "Mac" Taylor Inn of Court and has served on its programs committee as vice chair. He also maintains membership in the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and has participated in State Bar of Texas leadership programming. Those activities have kept him involved in committee work, continuing education, and efforts to refine court rules and practice standards.
Jones practices from Sawicki Law in Dallas. His work centers on civil trial work and appellate matters, and he continues to handle litigation across state and federal forums.
