About Andy

Andy Davis earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2004 after beginning his legal studies in 2001. He completed a Bachelor of Science in Business at Miami University of Ohio in 1997. Those formative years set up a steady progression from business studies to the practice of law.

He moved into private practice in 2004 and that same year became a partner at Davis, Kessler & Davis. The partnership has been the central platform for his legal work since then. His role at the firm includes case preparation, client counseling and courtroom work when matters proceed to trial or appeal.

Davis is admitted to practice in Tennessee and holds admissions for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Federal Circuit. Those federal admissions reflect involvement in appellate matters and related federal litigation. Over the years he has prepared appellate briefs and procedural filings and has coordinated litigation strategy tied to appeals and federal court procedure.

Since 2004 he has participated in a range of professional and community organizations. That involvement spans bar-related activities and broader civic work. Colleagues note that such participation has kept him engaged with developments in procedure and appellate practice, and it has provided a regular forum for exchanging ideas with other lawyers and judges.

At the firm Davis works on matters that move between Tennessee courts and federal forums. His practice blends trial preparation and appellate advocacy, often requiring careful attention to procedural posture and preservation of issues for appeal. He spends a significant portion of his time drafting briefs and motions, reviewing trial records for appealable issues, and advising clients on the risks and benefits of further review by appellate panels.

He joined the firm as partner early in his career and has maintained that position for more than two decades. That continuity has shaped his approach to client service and case management. He balances casework with ongoing professional involvement and remains active in legal circles that address litigation and appellate procedure.

His current practice focuses on matters in Tennessee state courts and in federal appellate courts.
