About Andrew T.
Andrew T. Rogers studied science before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Georgia in 1980 and a Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law in 1985. The combination of a scientific undergraduate degree and a law degree gave him a disciplined, methodical approach to casework from the outset.
He moved into private practice after law school and established himself in the Atlanta area. He joined the DeKalb Bar Association in 1988 and has maintained that membership ever since. His local ties run deep; many of the matters he handles involve clients and institutions in DeKalb County and the surrounding region.
Rogers practices at DEITCH & ROGERS, LLC. At the firm he handles a range of civil litigation matters. His work involves client interviews, investigation, drafting pleadings, and negotiating resolutions when possible. He also prepares cases for litigation and takes disputes to court when necessary.
His professional affiliations include membership in the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association beginning in 2000. That association connects him with other lawyers who work on civil claims and trial practice across the state. He has been active in the DeKalb Bar Association since 1988, participating in the local legal community through meetings and committee work.
From 2000 until 2016 Rogers served on the board of directors of the DeKalb Rape Crisis Center. During his time on the board he helped oversee nonprofit governance, community outreach, and resources for victims. That period of service gave him direct exposure to the needs of survivors and to the organizational challenges nonprofits face in providing legal and social services.
Colleagues describe his approach as steady and thorough. He favors careful preparation and clear communication with clients. He handles the practical tasks of litigation management while explaining options to people who are often dealing with difficult circumstances.
Over the course of his career he has balanced court work and client counseling. He continues to work on civil matters that require litigation skills, and he remains engaged with professional groups that focus on trial practice and local legal issues.
As of 2026 he is practicing at DEITCH & ROGERS, LLC, concentrating on civil litigation and representation of individuals in the Atlanta area.
