About Andrew
Andrew Slepian studied law at Brooklyn Law School, entering in 2005 and earning his J.D. in 2008. He moved to New York after graduation and built a practice centered on immigration law. His legal training at Brooklyn Law laid a foundation in procedure and advocacy that has informed both his client work and his involvement in professional organizations.
Early in his career Slepian concentrated on the practical demands of representing clients in a complex regulatory system. He is admitted to practice in New York and has balanced casework with service to the bar. That dual path led him toward roles beyond the courtroom, where he could influence how immigration lawyers organize and serve their communities.
In 2012 Slepian served as Treasurer of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In that position he handled fiduciary responsibilities for the association during a term marked by shifting policy debates at the federal level. Colleagues remember the role as one that required attention to detail and an ability to translate policy discussions into operational decisions.
Over time his work has combined client representation and professional leadership. He has worked on individual matters and helped shape conversations among practitioners about practice standards and professional resources. The combination of hands-on casework and association service has given him a broad view of how immigration law affects families, businesses and institutions in New York.
Slepian now maintains a practice in New York. He continues to take part in bar activities and to advise clients on immigration matters. He currently handles immigration matters in New York.
