About Andrew R.

Andrew R. Morand earned both his bachelor’s degree and his law degree from the University of La Verne, completing a B.A. before continuing on to the University of La Verne College of Law. His academic path kept him in one community for undergraduate and legal studies, where he built the foundation for a practice rooted in courtroom work and client representation.

After law school he entered practice in California and became admitted to the state bar. Over the years he has concentrated on litigation work. He has handled a variety of civil matters and prepared cases for trial. That early exposure to contested proceedings shaped the practical skills he relies on in day-to-day practice.

Morand’s work has involved advising clients on procedural strategy, participating in discovery, and arguing motions in court. He has taken cases through the phases common to civil litigation: investigation, pleadings, dispositive motion practice, and trial preparation. Colleagues describe his approach as methodical; he breaks large problems into smaller tasks and addresses them one step at a time.

In the courtroom he presents arguments plainly and prefers concise advocacy over theatricality. He spends time preparing witnesses and assembling documentary records. Outside court he drafts briefs and engages opposing counsel to explore resolutions when appropriate. That mix of advocacy and practical problem solving informs how he manages client matters.

He currently serves as a litigation lawyer at Varner & Brandt LLP. In that role he represents clients in state courts across California and manages litigation files from intake through disposition. He currently practices as a litigation lawyer at Varner & Brandt LLP, handling civil disputes in California.
