About Andrew

Andrew Mathers brings more than two decades of legal experience since earning his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law in 2004. He trained in Seattle and then built a practice that spans the American West. The legal education he received in Washington set the groundwork for a career that has touched multiple state systems and varied client needs.

Following law school, Mathers established a practice that has been licensed in Arizona, Oregon and Washington. That tri-state practice has required attention to differing procedural rules and statutory schemes. He has navigated those differences while managing cases and transactions that often involve cross-border issues or clients who operate in more than one state.

Over the years he has operated under the banner of Andrew S. Mathers, P.C. Running his own firm has meant handling both the legal work and the practical demands of managing a small office. He is known among colleagues for a pragmatic approach to problem solving and for treating routine office tasks with the same care as substantial legal matters.

Mathers’s work style is straightforward. He favors clear analysis and plain explanations. Clients who seek his advice can expect direct assessments of strengths and weaknesses, practical options, and attention to procedural detail. His experience practicing in three different state courts has shaped an adaptable practice style. He prepares filings, negotiates on behalf of clients, and coordinates strategy when matters cross state lines.

Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical in the courtroom and the conference room. He keeps an eye on deadlines and on the procedural posture of each matter. That steadiness is useful in jurisdictions that differ in discovery rules, motion practice and appellate procedure. It is also useful for clients who want their lawyer to anticipate practical hurdles before they arise.

Outside of courtroom hours he is involved in the everyday work of his office, ensuring that client communications are handled promptly and that administrative tasks do not delay substantive legal work. He maintains professional ties across the region and continues to adapt to changes in law and procedure.

He now concentrates his practice at Andrew S. Mathers, P.C., serving clients in Arizona, Oregon and Washington.
