About Andrew M
Andrew M Steiger built a layered academic foundation before entering law. He earned a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 2009. Before that he completed an M.A. in Accounting at the University of Michigan in 2004 and a B.A. in Economics and History at Michigan in 2003. Those degrees set a technical baseline that he would later apply to tax and business matters.
Steiger began his legal career in a firm environment. In 2010 he worked as an associate at Dykema Gossett PLLC. He moved into accounting firm legal roles later, joining Ernst & Young LLP as a senior associate in 2012 and then PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in a similar senior associate capacity in 2014. Those roles put him at the intersection of accounting practice and legal counsel, handling matters that relied on both tax law and financial analysis.
By 2018 he took on an in-house leadership role at Steiger Tax Law as a managing member. That position followed nearly a decade of work at firms and accounting firms where he handled transactional and compliance matters. Throughout that period he maintained professional memberships that date back to 2009, and he has practiced under Michigan jurisdiction.
Steiger’s background blends legal training and formal accounting study. The combination shapes how he handles client problems. He approaches tax questions with attention to numbers and to statutory detail. He has experience advising on tax compliance, planning, and issues that arise during audits and regulatory reviews. His time at large professional services firms exposed him to corporate clients and complex tax structures, while early firm work offered litigation and transactional exposure.
Today he practices from the Law Office of Andrew M. Steiger, PLLC. He also continues to be associated with Steiger Tax Law in a management capacity. His practice serves individuals and businesses that need tax advice tied to financial realities. He currently handles tax matters and related civil work at his private practice.
