About Andrew J.
Andrew J. Wyman built an academic foundation that points squarely toward tax and international work. He earned a B.A. in Business Administration, concentrating in finance and economics, from Eastern Washington University in 1992. He then completed his J.D. at Gonzaga University School of Law in 1998. After law school he pursued advanced study at Georgetown University Law Center, taking an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law in 1998 and following that with an LL.M. in Taxation in 1999.
Those credentials led quickly to work inside the federal tax system. In 2000 Wyman joined the Internal Revenue Service’s Office of Chief Counsel as a lawyer. He also became licensed to practice before the U.S. Tax Court that year. The early federal experience exposed him to tax controversy and litigation procedures at the national level. It also gave him direct experience working on tax matters from the government side of the docket.
In 2002 he left the Office of Chief Counsel to open his own practice. He is the owner of The Wyman Law Office, which he established that year. He has been a member of the Washington State Bar Association since 2002 and holds licensure in both Washington and New York. Over the years he has represented clients in matters that require familiarity with federal tax rules and the procedures of tax litigation. His practice reflects the combination of classroom study and hands-on government service that characterized his early career.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney whose education and work history align with tax-related representation and litigation. His LL.M. in taxation and licensure before the U.S. Tax Court remain central to the services he provides. He maintains an active practice through The Wyman Law Office, handling tax matters and related legal issues in Washington and New York. His current practice focuses on tax law and tax litigation.
