About Andrew B.

Andrew B. Young completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance in 2018. He went on to attend the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU, enrolling in 2019 and receiving both a Juris Doctor and a Doctor of Civil Law in 2022. His academic path combined training in typical common-law subjects and instruction that reflects Louisiana’s civil-law tradition.

After law school, Young joined Kean Miller LLP as an associate. In that role he supports the firm’s partners and works alongside other associates on client matters. His responsibilities include legal research, drafting memoranda and pleadings, preparing for hearings, and assisting with transactional and litigation-related tasks when called upon.

Young is licensed to practice in Louisiana and maintains membership in the Louisiana State Bar Association. He engages with the bar association as part of professional development and to stay current on state practice and procedural changes. The regional focus of his education and licensure has kept his legal work keyed to the state’s statutes and court decisions.

The dual J.D. and D.C.L. degrees he earned at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center reflect the particular legal environment of Louisiana. That combination of degrees exposed him to both the federal- and state-level legal frameworks that commonly intersect in the state, and it prepared him for the practical demands of representing clients under Louisiana law.

Colleagues describe Young as methodical in his preparation and attentive to the procedural details that matter in court filings and transactional work. His early career has involved a mix of drafting, client contact, and courtroom preparation. He has applied his finance background to the practical aspects of legal work that touch on economic and transactional questions.

As an associate at Kean Miller LLP, Young continues to build his experience handling legal matters arising under Louisiana law. His current practice focuses on serving clients on legal matters in Louisiana.
