About Andrea
Andrea Haas built a path to law that began with a liberal arts degree and moved through science before arriving at Suffolk University Law School. She earned a B.A. from Villanova University in 1997, an M.S. from Tufts University in 2006, and a J.D. from Suffolk in 2008. Those academic stops reflect an unusual mix of interests that informs how she approaches legal problems today.
Her early legal work included time at the Law Office of Joseph L. Sulman, Esq., where she took on client-facing responsibilities and courtroom tasks. Records list that firm in her experience. She handled matters that required preparation for trial and pleadings in state and federal settings. That period helped her develop practical skills in managing cases from intake through resolution.
Haas is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Those admissions allow her to appear in both state and federal courts. Over the years she has taken on disputes arising from the workplace and from other civil contexts. Her practice involves drafting motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in hearing and court appearances.
Outside the courtroom she is active in local and professional circles. She holds current membership in the Massachusetts Employment Lawyers Association, which keeps her connected to peers who handle workplace law. In Arlington she serves on the Equal Opportunity Advisory Committee and the Family Connection Steering Committee. Those volunteer roles involve advising on municipal initiatives and participating in local problem-solving. She is also an alumna volunteer with Chi Omega and contributes time to that network.
Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and communicative with clients. She tends to present options in plain language and to break complex legal issues into manageable steps. Her background in both the sciences and the humanities shapes how she evaluates evidence and constructs arguments. The combination of local civic involvement and courtroom work gives her a steady presence in both community and legal settings.
She continues to handle employment-related disputes and other civil litigation matters while maintaining involvement in Arlington committees and professional associations. Her current practice centers on representing clients in employment and related civil matters.
