About Andrea
Andrea Davis earned her Juris Doctor from Elon University School of Law in 2010. She completed the law program after a course of study that emphasized practical skills and courtroom procedure. The diploma marked the start of a career that has crossed state lines and sought to address both local and interstate legal issues.
Soon after graduating, Davis began practicing law in jurisdictions that are often treated separately. She is admitted to practice in both North Carolina and Florida. That dual admission has given her a perspective on how state rules interact and where differences can matter to clients who operate in more than one place.
Her early years in practice built a foundation in the everyday work of client representation. That period involved drafting pleadings, preparing motions, and advising on procedural matters in state courts. She developed experience handling matters that required careful attention to the procedural rules of different courts and the timing that litigation demands.
Over time, Davis’s work increasingly addressed issues that touch on both state law and cross-border concerns. She has handled matters that required coordination between counsel in multiple jurisdictions and the preparation of strategies that reflect different statutory frameworks. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical; she tends to break complex problems into defensible steps and then address each in turn.
Davis joined Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Altamura LLP as part of the firm’s team that serves clients facing multi-jurisdictional questions. At the firm, she contributes to case preparation, client counseling, and the coordination of filings across states. She works alongside litigators and transactional lawyers to assemble the factual and legal support needed for court filings or negotiated resolutions. Her role involves both courtroom preparation and out-of-court client advising.
Outside of casework, Davis maintains professional ties that reflect an ongoing engagement with the legal community. She keeps abreast of developments in the laws of the states where she practices and routinely reviews changes that could affect client matters. She brings that updated legal knowledge to her daily work.
She currently practices law in North Carolina and Florida at Garrett, Walker, Aycoth & Altamura LLP, handling matters that arise under the laws of those states.
