About Anamaria F.

Anamaria F. Rivero-Boundas attended Northern Illinois University where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Anthropology in 2007. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from DePaul College of Law in 2010. Her academic path threaded the humanities and law, giving her an uncommon background for a practicing attorney.

She began building practical legal experience while still in school. In 2008 she served as an intern for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and that same year took on the role of temporary executive director of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. Those early positions placed her inside court operations and inside a professional association that focuses on the interests of women lawyers.

After law school, Rivero-Boundas worked as a law clerk in 2009 for Serpe, Dizonno & Associates. She then joined Keating Law Group LLC as a lawyer in 2011. By 2012 she had taken on an of counsel role at Thomas T. Boundas & Associates, a position she has maintained while handling a range of matters that touch on the state and federal courts where she is authorized to practice.

She is admitted to practice in Illinois and Texas, and she also holds admission to practice before the Federal Circuit and the Seventh Circuit. That combination of state and federal admissions has allowed her to appear in district and appellate matters across different tribunals.

Rivero-Boundas has participated in several professional organizations over the years. Her memberships have included the Illinois State Bar Association and the DuPage County Bar Association earlier in her career. She has been involved with the Collaborative Law Institute of Illinois and spent time in groups that focus on consumer bankruptcy and collaborative practice. Those affiliations suggest an interest in procedural and practical tools for resolving disputes outside and inside traditional litigation.

Her career mixes court-side experience and association leadership with private practice roles. She continues to serve at Thomas T. Boundas & Associates, where she conducts matters arising in the jurisdictions to which she is admitted and works on cases that are filed in both state and federal forums. Currently she practices in Illinois and Texas and handles matters that involve state and federal procedures and appellate practice.
