About Amy
Amy Martin built a steady path into the courtroom. She completed a Bachelor of Arts at Thomas Edison State College in 2010 and followed that with a Master of Arts from Spring Hill College in 2011. She earned her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2014 and later completed a certificate in Corporate and Business Law from Mississippi College in 2017. The sequence of degrees and post-graduate training shaped both her legal knowledge and her approach to practice.
Her early years in the profession were hands-on. In 2017 she worked as a litigation paralegal and law clerk at Richard Wayne and Associates, a role that kept her close to case preparation and courtroom logistics. The next year she joined Arnall Golden Gregory as a staff lawyer. That position expanded her exposure to firm practice and client management. In 2020 she took a litigation lawyer role at Samuel Johnson and Associates, where she handled contested matters and courtroom appearances. By 2022 she was a supervising lawyer at John B Miller and Associates P.C., overseeing other attorneys and guiding litigation strategy.
Martin is admitted to practice in Georgia. She has completed Guardian ad Litem training through the Office of the Child Advocate, a credential that signals experience with matters involving children and court-appointed investigations. She also holds membership in the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers, a position she has maintained since 2017.
Colleagues describe her work as methodical and exacting. She spent the first portion of her career learning casework from the ground up. That experience as a paralegal and clerk informed how she manages discovery and prepares witnesses. As she moved into staff and supervising roles, she took on more responsibility for case direction and mentoring junior lawyers.
Her litigation background is evident in the progression of roles she has taken. She has handled pleadings, motion practice, and courtroom proceedings across a variety of contested matters. The Guardian ad Litem training added a procedural and evidentiary dimension for cases that touch on child welfare and custody questions.
Today she practices at John B Miller and Associates P.C., where she supervises litigation teams and continues to take on contested matters in Georgia. Her current practice centers on litigation and court proceedings, including work involving court-appointed child advocacy matters.
