About Amy Kathryn
Amy Kathryn Pietrowski earned a B.A. in English and Psychology from the University of Mississippi, completing her studies in 1995. She returned to school later and received her J.D. from Mississippi College School of Law in 2013. Those milestones mark a long path through several different fields before she settled into legal practice.
Her early career began in uniform. Pietrowski served as a non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps beginning in 1989. After leaving active service she started a business, founding Executive Profiles in 1997 and serving as its chief executive. She later worked in social services at the Baker County Council on Aging in 2005. In the years that followed she moved into education, teaching at Canton Elementary School in 2007 and then at Pearl Junior High in 2009.
That variety of experience preceded her admission to the bar. After earning her law degree in 2013 she entered private practice and established Pietrowski Law Practice. She is admitted to practice in Mississippi and Tennessee and holds memberships in the State Bar of Mississippi and the Tennessee State Bar. Her court admissions extend to the Supreme Court of Mississippi, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi.
Pietrowski’s memberships reflect points of professional interest. She belongs to the American Association of Premier DUI Lawyers, the American Bar Association, and local bar groups including the Lafayette and Lee County Bar Associations. She also participates in volunteer legal efforts through Lafayette Volunteer Lawyers and maintains ties to veterans’ organizations such as the United States Marine Corps Women’s League. Other affiliations on her profile include a group listed as Trigger Time.
Those affiliations and her federal and state admissions allow her to take cases that require representation at trial and on appeal. Her practice has included matters connected to driving-under-the-influence defense and criminal proceedings, as indicated by association membership. At the same time she has continued involvement in pro bono and community-oriented legal programs at the county and local bar level.
Pietrowski operates from Pietrowski Law Practice, where she combines courtroom experience and earlier careers in public service and education. She handles DUI defense and related criminal matters and participates in volunteer legal work through local bar programs.
