Amy Julia Lass is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2006 and holds bar number 246779. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Lass is the owner and a certified family law specialist at Lass Law, APLC, a family law firm located in Carlsbad, California. She has been practicing law for over 15 years, serving clients throughout San Diego County.
Ms. Lass earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, graduating cum laude in 2006. Prior to law school, she completed her undergraduate education at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics in 2003. During her time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, she participated in a summer semester in Nice, France, studying comparative constitutional law under Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Ms. Lass concentrates her practice in the area of family law, representing individuals and families in matters involving divorce, child custody, spousal support, and child support. She has experience in all stages of family law proceedings, including mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts. Her approach is practical and cost-effective, aiming to balance the emotional needs and objectives of her clients.
Throughout her career, Ms. Lass has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of San Diego and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. She has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding her own firm, she worked as a partner at Griffith, Young & Lass, a family law firm based in Carlsbad, California.
Ms. Lass is an active member of the North County Family Law Specialists and has been recognized for her commitment to family law. She is also an adjunct professor at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law, where she shares her expertise with law students. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and is an avid sports fan.
