About Amy Deruelle

Amy Deruelle Boggs is the founder and managing partner of Boggs Law Group, P.A., located in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She has been practicing law in Florida since her admission to the Florida Bar on October 20, 2000. Her firm specializes in property insurance litigation, focusing on representing policyholders in disputes involving property damage claims. Ms. Boggs earned her Juris Doctor summa cum laude from Stetson University College of Law in 2000. She was the salutatorian of her class. During her time at Stetson, she served on the editorial board of the Stetson Law Review and received the Top Course Grade "Book" Award in seven courses.

Prior to law school, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of South Florida in 1997. After law school, Ms. Boggs began her legal career at Carlton Fields, where she practiced insurance defense and general litigation. In 2005, she transitioned to representing policyholders at the Merlin Law Group in Tampa, Florida, focusing on first-party property insurance claims. In 2010, she founded Boggs Law Group, P.A., with the mission of providing personalized and dedicated legal representation to policyholders. Boggs has been recognized as a Super Lawyers "Rising Star" in 2009 and 2010 and has been selected to Super Lawyers from 2021 to 2026. She is also active in professional organizations, serving as the chairwoman of the Florida Justice Association's Property Insurance Section for the 2019-2020 term and as Co-Chair of the St. Petersburg Bar Association's Civil Trial Section since 2017. Ms. Boggs is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Northern. Southern Districts of Florida.

She is also a member of the Florida Justice Association and the St. Petersburg Bar Association. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and caring for her pets.
