About Ammar

Ammar Alo earned his Juris Doctor from Ave Maria School of Law after beginning law studies in 2005 and completing the degree in 2008. He moved to Ohio to begin his legal career and has practiced in that jurisdiction since. His law school years included coursework and clinics that shaped his interest in immigration and related federal matters.

He built his practice around immigration work. Early in his career he handled family-based petitions, naturalization matters and removal defense. Over time his caseload grew to include employment-based visas and humanitarian petitions. He has represented individuals before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and in immigration courts, handling both administrative filings and litigation aspects when cases required it.

Professional involvement figures into his practice. He is a current member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, which keeps him engaged with developments in immigration policy and procedure. That membership provides access to continuing legal education and a network of practitioners across the country. He has used those resources to stay current on changing forms, filing criteria and court decisions that affect client matters.

Alo established Alo Legal, LLC to provide clients with a focused practice grounded in immigration law. The firm handles a range of matters, from adjustment of status and consular processing to waivers and work authorization issues. He works directly with clients to assess eligibility, prepare required documentation and advocate for outcomes in administrative hearings when needed.

Clients and colleagues describe his approach as practical and case-oriented. He places emphasis on preparing thorough case files and anticipating procedural hurdles. That method reflects an attention to procedural detail rather than a reliance on broad claims. He tends to prioritize clear communication about timelines, burdens of proof and likely next steps.

Alo’s practice serves individuals and families navigating complex immigration pathways. He also assists employers seeking temporary and permanent placement of foreign national employees. Work often requires coordination with consular officials, employers and other counsel to align filings and ensure deadlines are met.

As of 2026 he continues to operate through Alo Legal, LLC in Ohio, maintaining an active immigration practice that advises clients on family-based immigration, employment visas, naturalization and removal-related proceedings. His current practice focuses on representing individuals and employers in immigration processes and administrative proceedings.
