About Amien

Amien Kacou built his academic foundation across three institutions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Maryland, College Park, followed by a Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law. He later completed a Master of Arts in Government at Johns Hopkins University. Those degrees provided a mix of legal training and public policy study.

His professional path led to GPI Law PLLC, where he became Principal Lawyer in 2009. That move marked a transition from early legal roles into firm leadership. Over the years he has maintained practice connections in both the Miami and Washington, D.C. areas. He is licensed to practice in Florida.

Kacou holds membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association. That affiliation places him in a national network of attorneys who handle immigration matters. He participates in professional circles that address changes in federal immigration policy and administrative procedure. Those memberships inform how he prepares cases and advises clients.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and pragmatic in client work. He approaches each matter by mapping the procedural steps and identifying key deadlines. Court filings, administrative petitions and client interviews are handled with the same attention to detail. He has worked with individuals and organizations on document preparation, case strategy and submissions to government agencies.

He keeps offices in the Miami, Florida area and the Washington, D.C. area while practicing through GPI Law PLLC. That geographic spread allows him to serve clients with matters that touch state and federal processes. He currently practices immigration law at GPI Law PLLC, operating out of offices in Miami and the Washington, D.C. area.
