About Amelia A.
I am a Partner at Legare, Attwood & Ragan, LLC. My legal practice is targeted on defending the rights of employees inside the place of business and helping them in imposing those rights whilst essential. I act as lead recommend in employment litigation topics across state and federal courts, mediations, and arbitrations. My cases regularly contain claims related to race, age, gender, pregnancy, country wide foundation, faith, and disability discrimination, as well as sexual harassment, retaliation, salary and hour violations, agreement disputes, and violations of the Family Medical Leave Act. Additionally, I negotiate and provide recommendation on employment contracts, separation agreements, and non-opposition and non-solicitation agreements.
I am actively involved in expert agencies, serving on the Board of the Georgia Chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association and chairing its EEOC and Amicus Committees. I also keep a function at the Board of the Atlanta Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section.
I am admitted to practice inside the State Bar of Georgia, the USA District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, the USA Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the Supreme Court of the United States, and Georgia Superior, Appeals, and Supreme Courts.
I earned my tiers in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Tennessee and acquired my Juris Doctorate from John Marshall Law School. During my time at law college, I became the editor-in-leader of the John Marshall Law Journal and led the book of its first multi-volume version. I become honored with the Salomon Award and the Custer-Tuggle Award for my educational achievements and acquired the Outstanding Graduate Award for my dedication to ethics and social consciousness within the criminal career.
Outside of my professional life, I experience spending time exterior with my family and our cairn terrier. I am a passionate Tennessee Volunteers fan. › ›
