About Amanda
Amanda Kawecki earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University’s Panama City campus in 2001 and continued at Florida State University College of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2005. She completed her formal legal training in Tallahassee, building a foundation in legal research and courtroom procedure during law school. Those early years set the tone for a career spent in Florida courts and agencies.
Her first post-law school position was a clerkship in 2006 at Broad and Cassel in Tallahassee. That role exposed her to transactional work and litigation support at a regional firm. In 2008 she served as a legal extern at the Agency for Health Care Administration in Tallahassee, handling regulatory materials and agency procedures. Later that year she joined the Office of the State Lawyer for the 19th Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Lawyer. In that capacity she worked on cases in the circuit court and gained courtroom experience through appearances and trial preparation. She later entered private practice and is listed as a lawyer at Donaldson & Weston.
Kawecki’s professional life includes sustained involvement in local and statewide bar organizations. She is a current member of The Florida Bar and participates in the Florida Association of Women Lawyers. Her activity extends to county-level groups: the Martin County Bar Association and its Young Lawyers Division, the St. Lucie County Bar Association, and the Port St. Lucie Bar Association. Those memberships reflect a career spent largely in Florida’s legal community and frequent interaction with colleagues across several circuits.
Over the years Kawecki’s work has blended courtroom work, agency practice, and firm-based responsibilities. She has handled case preparation, drafted pleadings and motions, appeared in court, and worked on regulatory matters during her time with the Agency for Health Care Administration. The arc of her career runs from a firm clerkship through public service in the 19th Judicial Circuit to private practice. She is licensed to practice in Florida and maintains active membership in multiple bar associations. She practices at Donaldson & Weston in Florida, where her work includes courtroom representation, client counseling, and legal drafting as part of her current practice focus.
