About Amanda Gallardo
Amanda Gallardo Dickens built a path to law that began in the classroom and moved quickly into courtrooms and offices. She earned a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology, completing the degree in 2011. That academic grounding led her south, to Charleston School of Law, where she finished her Juris Doctor in 2014.
Her legal career began immediately after law school. In 2014 she joined Meriwether & Tharp, LLC as an associate. Early on she learned the pace of client work and the discipline of case preparation. Those years sharpened her skills in legal research, drafting, and the routine demands of litigation practice. Colleagues from that period recall an attorney who prioritized steady work over flash and who was reliable on deadlines.
In 2023 Dickens moved to Vayman & Teitelbaum, P.C. That transition marked a new chapter. She joined the firm as a lawyer and brought with her several years of trial and transactional exposure. At Vayman & Teitelbaum she stepped into heavier caseloads and more complex matters. The firm environment gave her more opportunities to take on courtroom responsibilities and to work directly with clients across different stages of a dispute.
Outside the office she maintains professional memberships and stays active in bar-related activities. She has participated in continuing legal education programs and remains engaged with peers. Her colleagues describe her style as direct and methodical. She prepares cases thoroughly and prefers clear, practical advice over theoretical flourishes. That approach translates to courtroom readiness and careful negotiation when settlement is warranted.
Her practice record shows steady progression rather than sudden leaps. She moved from a smaller firm to a larger one and took on increased responsibility at each step. That progression reflects a typical path for many lawyers who build competence through steady casework and client interaction. Today she splits her time between client meetings, document drafting, and appearances where they are required. She currently practices at Vayman & Teitelbaum, P.C., handling legal matters on behalf of the firm’s clients.
