About Amanda

Amanda Cummins built a steady academic foundation before entering the legal field. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Florida State University in 2010, completed her J.D. at Florida A&M University College of Law in 2014, and later added an LL.M. in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law in 2019. The extra year of study gave her a deeper grounding in laws that affect older adults and their families.

Her career has remained centered in Florida law. She is admitted to practice in Florida and has worked on matters that touch on estate administration, guardianship, and long-term care planning. Early years in practice showed her the practical side of probate work. Over time she moved into cases that required both courtroom skills and careful planning to protect clients' assets and decision-making capacities.

Cummins has kept active outside the courtroom. She served as a fellow in the Real Probate, Property & Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar from 2021 through 2023. Locally, she holds the role of secretary for Business and Professional Women St. Petersburg/Pinellas. Those roles put her in contact with other attorneys, community leaders and nonprofit groups that intersect with elder needs.

Her LL.M. has shaped how she approaches cases. She handles estate planning, trust work, probate administration and guardianship matters. She also deals with Medicaid planning and the legal issues that arise as clients age. Her work requires both attention to legal detail and an ability to explain options to clients who may be facing difficult personal decisions.

At AC Cummins Law she practices as an attorney providing direct counsel and representation. The firm handles estate and probate matters for individuals and families. Cases range from simple planning documents to contested probate proceedings. She manages filings and hearings, drafts planning instruments and works with financial and healthcare professionals when cases demand coordinated planning.

Clients and colleagues describe her approach as practical and methodical. She breaks down complex rules into steps people can follow. She is a regular participant in professional meetings and community events tied to the elder law field. Her recent activity in the Bar section and local organizations reflects ongoing involvement in the professional community.

She currently practices at AC Cummins Law, handling elder law, estate planning, probate, trusts, guardianship and Medicaid planning matters.
