Alison Louise Cohen is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997. Her license is currently in active status. Ms. Cohen is a founding member of the Cohen Defense Group, Inc., a private criminal defense firm located in Auburn, California. The firm has expanded to include offices in Roseville, Nevada City, and Truckee, serving clients throughout Placer and Nevada counties. Ms. Cohen's practice primarily focuses on juvenile delinquency cases, providing defense services for minors charged with various offenses.
Ms. Cohen earned her Juris Doctor degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, graduating in 1996. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts. During her time at Golden Gate University, she earned certificates in Litigation and Public Interest Law, reflecting her commitment to these areas of legal practice.

Ms. Cohen is an active member of the California State Bar and has been recognized by Sacramento Magazine as a Top Lawyer in 2023. She serves on the Advisory Board for the California Youth Defender Center, a statewide organization focused on defending youth rights. Additionally, she has been involved with Soroptimist International of the American River (SOAR), a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls locally and globally.
