About Alexandra

Alexandra Jackson is a lawyer who practices in New England and in several federal courts. She came to law after completing undergraduate studies in East Asian languages and cultures. Her path reflects a mix of regional training and broad federal admissions.

Jackson earned her Bachelor of Arts from Smith College in 2014, where she studied East Asian Languages and Cultures. She then attended the University of Maine School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2017. Her legal education was grounded in a public-law oriented New England program and included coursework that prepared her for litigation and appellate work.

After law school she established a practice that covers both state and federal matters. Over the years she has gained admission to the bars of Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. She is also admitted to several federal tribunals, including the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, the First Circuit, the Federal Circuit and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. Those admissions allow her to take cases in trial courts and on appeal throughout the region.

Her work has involved courtroom appearances in district courts and filings in appellate courts. She handles procedural and substantive briefing, argues motions, and manages case preparation through trial stages when required. Clients and colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing records and attentive to appellate deadlines. She balances an attention to procedural detail with an eye toward the larger legal questions that shape outcomes.

Professionally she practices at Jackson & MacNichol. At the firm she collaborates with colleagues on multi-jurisdictional matters and represents clients who require counsel across state lines and in federal court. Her practice benefits from the firm’s regional presence and its focus on litigation in New England.

Jackson contributes to the work of the office through case strategy and courtroom advocacy. She remains active in filings before both trial and appellate forums. She currently focuses her practice on litigation in federal and state courts across New England.
