About Alexander R.
Alexander R. Zwillinger grew up interested in the law and pursued a course of study that combined broad undergraduate training with professional legal education. He attended Tufts University for his undergraduate degree and earned his J.D. from Hofstra University. Those years set the foundation for a career that moved quickly from contract work into firm practice and then partnership.
His first listed legal role was as a Lawyer Contractor in 2014 at the United States Lawyer s Office. That early position exposed him to the routines of legal preparation and the operational side of legal services. It was a practical entry into daily legal work and helped him refine basic courtroom and client-support skills.
In 2016 Zwillinger joined Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar, LLP as an associate. At the firm he handled client matters and contributed to case preparation, legal research and drafting. The associate years are where many lawyers sharpen their litigation and transactional instincts; Zwillinger’s time at Donnelly, Conroy & Gelhaar gave him steady exposure to firm practice and the rhythms of managing caseloads.
Two years later he moved again. In 2018 Zwillinger became a partner at Kenney & Sams, P.C. The partnership marked a shift to broader responsibility. He took on case management, direct client counseling and the mentoring of junior lawyers. Partnership also meant greater involvement in firm decision-making and in the business aspects of practicing law.
Outside the office Zwillinger participates in professional organizations. He holds membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. Those memberships keep him connected to developments in Massachusetts law and to the local legal community.
Today Zwillinger practices at Kenney & Sams, P.C. in Massachusetts. His career path—from contractor work to firm associate to partner—reflects steady progression through familiar stages of private practice. He maintains an active role at the firm and continues to serve clients through his work there. His current practice focuses on matters handled through Kenney & Sams, P.C.
