About Alexander N.

Alexander N. Loftus grew up studying politics and law. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Saint Thomas in 2006 and completed his J.D. at DePaul College of Law in 2010. Those academic years included steady work in legal settings and practical experience that would shape his early career.

While still a student he took on a range of positions that exposed him to both public defense and corporate environments. In 2005 he worked as an investigator for the Public Defender Service. In 2006 he held a law clerk role at 3M and served as Replevin and Legal Collections Coordinator at US Bank. A later clerkship in 2008 with Roger B. Derstine Chartered added further courtroom-side exposure.

Loftus entered firm practice soon after. Records show he worked as a lawyer at Fichera & Miller, P.C. in 2009 and later served as a trial lawyer in 2014 at Voelker Litigation Group. He now practices at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd, where he is listed among the firm’s attorneys. His resume reflects steady movement from investigative and clerking work into hands-on litigation and trial practice.

His court admissions span both state and federal venues. He is admitted in Illinois and holds trial or admission rights in several federal courts, including the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the Northern District of Illinois (Trial Bar), the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Those credentials allow him to file and try cases in multiple jurisdictions across the Midwest and beyond.

Loftus maintains memberships in professional groups that align with trial work and civil litigation. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association (2010 to present) and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (2009 to present). He also belongs to the American Association for Justice, joining in 2013, and holds membership in the American Society of Legal Advocates.

Colleagues and clients see a lawyer who built his practice from varied early roles into courtroom work. His background in replevin and legal collections sits alongside broader civil litigation experience gained through clerkships and trial assignments. He practices at Loftus & Eisenberg, Ltd, where his work concentrates on civil litigation, trial practice, and replevin and collection matters.
