About Alexander
Alexander Griggs built his path to the law in California classrooms and courtrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1990 and went on to receive his J.D. from Whittier Law School in 1997. Those years of study framed a straightforward career: a California lawyer who has stayed close to the state’s legal landscape.
After law school, Griggs entered private practice and remained active in the state bar community. He is licensed to practice in California and is a current member of The State Bar of California. Over time he has taken on the kinds of matters that keep a courtroom practice responsive to shifting state rules and client needs.
Griggs joined Greg Hill & Associates as Of Counsel. In that role he contributes seasoned judgment to client matters and helps guide less-experienced attorneys. His work has involved counseling clients, preparing filings and legal analyses, and participating in strategy sessions. He plays a support and advisory role within the firm while maintaining hands-on involvement in case preparation.
Colleagues describe his approach as practical and detail-oriented. He tends to prioritize clear legal writing and steady case management. That practical bent shows in how he approaches fact-gathering and in the way he prepares evidence and briefs for hearings. He is comfortable working on a range of matters that arise under California law and often serves as a resource on questions rooted in state procedure and statute.
Outside of firm work, Griggs keeps his membership in The State Bar current and maintains professional ties within the California legal community. He does not hold a listed public office or reported judicial appointment, but his career has been centered on applying state law to concrete client problems.
He currently serves as Of Counsel at Greg Hill & Associates, where his practice focuses on matters arising under California law and on advising clients based in the state.
