About Alexander D.

Alexander D. Weatherby built his legal foundation in the Southeast. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Samford University in 2006 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Georgia in 2010. Those academic years shaped an interest in advocacy that he carried into early courtroom and firm experiences.

While in law school and soon after, Weatherby worked in a series of internships and summer associate positions that exposed him to both public defense and private practice. He interned with the Western Circuit of Georgia Public Defender's Office and held summer associate roles at Weinberg, Wheeler, Hudgins, Gunn & Dial and Morris, Manning & Martin. Earlier internships included time at Deming, Parker, Hoffman, Campbell & Daly. Those placements gave him hands-on experience with litigation, client interviews and case preparation.

After law school he moved into civil practice. In 2010 he joined Carr & Palmer, LLP, and over the next several years remained in firms that concentrated on serious personal injury matters. He worked at W. Pitts Carr & Associates in 2014 and then at Carr & Weatherby, LLP beginning in 2016. In 2021 he established Weatherby Law Office, PC, where he continues his practice. The progression reflects a steady narrowing of practice toward high-stakes injury work.

Weatherby practices in Georgia and is admitted to the Eleventh Circuit. His casework centers on collisions involving commercial trucks and incidents that result in catastrophic injury. He represents individuals and families in cases that often involve complex liability questions, multiple parties and significant medical and economic damages. He handles depositions, expert retention, discovery and trial preparation in those matters.

He holds professional credentials that complement litigation work. Weatherby is a registered mediator with the Georgia Department of Neutrals. He is also listed with the Board of Professional Liability of the State Bar of Georgia. Those roles intersect with his trial practice, informing how he evaluates settlement potential and procedural risk.

Colleagues describe Weatherby as deliberate in case management and focused on courtroom readiness. His background spans both public defender work and extended tenure at personal injury firms, giving him varied perspectives on adversary strategy. He has litigated cases at trial and argued in hearings that require technical familiarity with federal and state procedural rules.

At Weatherby Law Office, PC he continues to represent clients injured in truck accidents and other catastrophic incidents. His current practice concentrates on securing damages for serious physical injury and wrongful-death claims.
