About Aleksandr Y.
Aleksandr Y. Troyb began his legal path at the University of Connecticut, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2000. He moved on to Pace University’s Elisabeth Haub School of Law and received his J.D. in 2004. Those academic years set a practical tone: business fundamentals first, then law school training that emphasized procedure and client service.
After law school, Troyb built a practice that crosses state lines and courtrooms. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut. Over the years he has combined private practice responsibilities with sustained involvement in local and national bar organizations. That mix has shaped how he approaches legal work and professional service.
Troyb’s involvement in bar associations is long-standing and continuous. He has been active in the Fairfield County Bar Association for many years, serving as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-President and, beginning in 2021, President, while also holding a seat on the Executive Committee. He has been listed as a Director of the association since 2014. At the state level he is a member of both the Connecticut Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association. His national ties extend to the American Immigration Lawyers Association, where he has maintained membership since 2008 and held leadership roles in the Connecticut chapter, including Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chair and Chair of the Executive Committee. From 2016 to 2018 he also served on AILA’s national Board of Governors.
Colleagues describe Troyb as thorough and steady in committee work. He has spent time planning programs, overseeing budgets and guiding governance. Those tasks do not always appear in headlines. But they occupy much of the day-to-day business of bar leadership. His record shows a progression of administrative responsibility and a willingness to handle operational details that keep professional groups functioning.
Troyb’s current office is Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C., where he practices with partners and colleagues. He regularly appears before state and federal forums and participates in the professional life of his region. His practice centers on immigration and related civil matters, and he maintains active memberships in the organizations that intersect with that work.
He continues to maintain his bar memberships and to serve in local bar leadership while practicing at Benjamin, Gold & Troyb, P.C., focusing on immigration and allied civil practice areas.
