About Alejandro
Alejandro Rivera built his legal foundation at Florida A&M University College of Law, where he entered law school in 2005 and earned his J.D. in 2008. He arrived in the profession after a three-year course of study that combined classroom work with clinics and practical skills training typical of his graduating class.
Rivera moved into private practice after gaining early experience in the Miami legal community. In 2011 he started Alejandro Rivera P.A., where he has served as the principal lawyer since the firm’s founding. That step brought him back into a client-facing role that requires handling cases from intake through resolution.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and maintains memberships in several professional organizations. He is a current member of the Federal Bar Association, Middle District of Florida chapter. He also belongs to the American Immigration Lawyers Association and to The Florida Bar. Those affiliations have placed him in regular contact with colleagues across the state and in federal court circles.
Rivera’s litigation work has involved administrative proceedings and filings that intersect with federal courts. Over the years he has handled paperwork, hearings, and client representation in offices where federal rules and immigration regulations often apply. He has experience preparing submissions for administrative bodies and addressing contentious factual and legal questions that arise in those settings.
Colleagues describe Rivera as pragmatic in the courtroom. He balances procedural strategy with the practical realities clients face. He has steered cases through both agency adjudications and district court matters when appeals or federal filings were necessary. That combination of administrative and federal experience shapes how he evaluates new matters.
Outside casework, Rivera participates in professional activities aimed at staying current on developments in federal procedure and immigration law. He attends meetings and programs offered by his professional associations. Those activities help him keep pace with rule changes and shifts in enforcement practice.
As of 2026, Alejandro Rivera continues to lead Alejandro Rivera P.A., handling matters that involve administrative proceedings, federal filings, and immigration-related practice. He currently represents individuals and families in immigration matters and in associated federal and administrative proceedings.
