After graduating from law school, Mr. Pigg began his legal career as a law clerk for Flahive, Ogden & Latson in Austin, where he focused on workers’ compensation cases. In 1996, he joined Cowles & Thompson, P.C. in Dallas, where he practiced insurance defense with a specific emphasis on workers’ compensation law. His dedication and expertise led him to transfer to the firm's Tyler office in 1999, where he became the senior workers’ compensation attorney. In August 2005, he took a significant step in his career by founding Alan W. Pigg, P.C., aiming to provide dedicated legal representation for clients in workers’ compensation and social security disability matters.
Mr. Pigg is recognized for his expertise in the field, having achieved Board Certification in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. His professional involvement extends to serving as a panel speaker at the State Bar’s Advanced Workers’ Compensation Law Seminar, where he shares his knowledge with other legal professionals.
