About Alan

Alan Tucker is an attorney who trained at the University of Notre Dame, earning his J.D. in 2015 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Utah in 2012 where he read Spanish and International Studies. His academic path combined language and global perspectives with professional legal training. The mix shaped an early interest in courtroom work and the mechanics of civil litigation.

Fresh from law school, Tucker served as a law clerk in 2015 for the Federal District Court for the District of Utah. In that role he worked directly with a district judge, handling legal research, preparing draft opinions and orders, and helping manage the flow of cases. The clerkship offered close exposure to federal procedure and the decision-making habits of trial judges. It also provided a foundation for motion practice and case preparation in both state and federal settings.

After his clerkship he moved into private practice. He is admitted to practice in Utah and has been active in the local legal community. He holds membership in the Utah Bar Litigation Section, where he participates in panels and continuing legal education geared toward trial lawyers. That association reflects an ongoing engagement with developments in litigation strategy and procedural law.

Tucker’s day-to-day work has emphasized litigation. He prepares pleadings, argues motions and represents clients at hearings. He is familiar with the rhythm of pretrial preparation and with the courtroom environment. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing records and concise when presenting legal arguments. He approaches each matter with attention to factual detail and procedural clarity.

At The Advocates, Tucker practices among a team that handles contested matters in Utah courts. He represents clients in civil disputes and appears in hearings across the state. He balances casework with professional development, contributing to bar section activities and staying current on changes in court practice.

He currently focuses on litigation and trial practice in Utah.
