About Al
Al Hansen earned his J.D. from Widener University Delaware School of Law in 1993, where he studied litigation. He completed his undergraduate studies at Bates College, receiving a B.A. in history in 1988. Those years set the framework for a legal career that has spanned courthouse work and private practice.
Hansen moved into public service early. In 1997 he worked in the Rockingham County Lawyer's Office as an intern and assistant county lawyer. That role gave him exposure to prosecutorial processes and courtroom procedure. Two years later he listed his professional address as Hansen Law Office, working as a lawyer-at-law and handling a range of client matters.
He returned to more structured firm environments as his career progressed. In 2007 he served as an associate at Family Legal Services, where family law matters were a regular part of the docket. In 2009 he joined Normand & Associates, PA as a lawyer. Since 2013 his profile has been associated with Bosen & Associates, PLLC.
Hansen is admitted to practice in New Hampshire, Maine and Massachusetts. He maintains memberships in the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the New Hampshire Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also participates in the New Hampshire Bar Association’s Criminal Law and Family Law sections.
Those affiliations reflect the contours of his practice. Over the years his work has included criminal defense and family law matters. He has experience in courtroom proceedings, client counseling and case preparation. He has handled matters at various stages, from initial hearings through trial work when necessary.
Clients and colleagues describe a lawyer who prefers clear, direct legal work. He tends to pursue practical resolutions while preparing thoroughly for contested matters. He draws on years of courtroom time and firm practice to manage cases under state rules and local procedures.
As of 2026 Hansen practices at Bosen & Associates, PLLC. He represents clients in criminal and family law matters.
