About Aimei
Aimei Xi built a legal path that crosses two continents. She earned a law and accounting degree from Beijing Technology and Business University Law School in 1994 and later took up graduate study at the University of Minnesota, earning her J.D. in 2004. Those two degrees anchor a practice shaped by both Chinese and American legal systems.
Her credentials reflect that binational foundation. She holds membership in the China Bar through the Beijing Lawyers Association and is admitted to practice in New York and Washington state. Her New York credential is recognized by the New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department. She has maintained long-standing professional ties: membership in the China Bar Association dates back to 2000, she joined the New York State Bar Association in 2008, became part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association in 2013, and has been affiliated with the Washington State Bar Association since 2015.
Xi’s early career in the United States moved into immigration work. In 2007 she served as an immigration attorney at The Law Offices of Paul A. Esquivel, P.C. Four years later she joined Taylor & Ryan PLLC as an immigration lawyer. In 2013 she took on a counsel role at Genesis Law Office PLLC. She became managing member of Bright Law Office PLLC in 2015, a role that combines client work and firm leadership. Her office is based in Bellevue.
Her professional trajectory shows steady ties to immigration practice and to clients whose matters span jurisdictions. She has worked in law offices that handle case preparation, petitions, and client representation before immigration authorities. At the same time she has taken on responsibilities beyond individual cases, including counseling on case strategy and participating in firm management.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney comfortable with procedural detail and the practical demands of cross-border matters. Her memberships in both domestic and international bar organizations signal ongoing engagement with developments in immigration law and with networks that inform casework. Those affiliations also place her among practitioners who address policy shifts and changing administrative procedures.
As managing member at Bright Law Office PLLC in Bellevue, she continues to represent clients in immigration matters and to oversee the firm’s operations. Her current practice focuses on immigration law for individuals and families, including matters that involve connections between the United States and China.
