About Afsoon
Afsoon Hagh built a deliberate path into the law. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication at Middle Tennessee State University in 2004 and earned her J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2009. During law school she gained early courtroom exposure, serving as a law clerk in 2008 for the Office of the Tennessee General and Reporter.
Her early post-law school years were spent in firm and office roles that deepened her practical experience. In 2013 she joined the Law Offices of Luvell Glanton as an associate. Two years later she became a partner at Cummings Manookian PLC, a move that placed her into firm leadership and client-facing responsibilities. In 2017 she took a partner role at the Rocky McElhaney Law Office, where she continued to handle litigation and case management duties.
Hagh’s career shows steady movement through the ranks of private practice. She combined courtroom work with the administrative tasks that come with partnership. Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She works through factual records and procedural requirements, relying on plain explanation rather than legal jargon when advising clients.
Her professional credential list is anchored in Tennessee. She is licensed to practice in that state and has spent her career within its courts and legal community. That local grounding shaped the kinds of matters she handled and the relationships she formed with other lawyers and judges in the region.
Outside of the courtroom, Hagh’s background in mass communication informs how she prepares cases and presents information. That undergraduate training appears in how she frames narratives for juries and organizes materials for hearings. Her experience as a law clerk early in her career also gave her exposure to court processes and the mechanics of legal reporting.
Over more than a decade in practice she moved from clerkship to associate work and then into partnership positions. Those transitions reflect a steady accumulation of responsibility rather than abrupt leaps. Her record shows a professional trajectory tied closely to active practice in Tennessee.
She now practices law in Tennessee and represents clients in matters across the state, focusing her work on serving those local needs.
