About Adam
Adam Zuwerink earned his law degree from the University of Virginia in 2001, where he graduated as a Dean’s Scholar. He began his academic career at the University of Michigan, earning a B.A. in anthropology and political science in 1997. Those two institutions shaped a practice that bridges careful legal analysis and an interest in the social dimensions of law.
After law school, Zuwerink built a practice in West Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and before the U.S. Supreme Court. Over time he developed specialties that draw on both transactional and planning work rather than litigation alone. He holds an Estate Planning Certificate from the Michigan Institute of Continuing Legal Education and is a Certified Commercial Contracts Manager through the National Contract Management Association.
Zuwerink’s work spans estate planning, business and commercial contract matters, and related counseling for individuals and small businesses. He drafts and reviews agreements, helps clients organize ownership and succession arrangements, and prepares estate documents. The certifications he has earned inform the technical work of drafting documents and negotiating contract terms. He approaches each matter with attention to detail and a preference for resolving questions before they escalate.
Community engagement has been a consistent part of his career. He has served on the Leadership Council of the Small Business Association of Michigan since 2015. Since 2015 he has also been the Government Affairs Committee Co-Chair for the Muskegon Lakeshore Chamber of Commerce. Earlier, he served as a trustee on the Newaygo Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors from 2013 to 2015. Those roles put him in regular contact with local business leaders and municipal officials and inform his understanding of regulatory and economic issues in the region.
Zuwerink practices from offices in Holland and Muskegon as part of West Michigan Law, P.C. He splits time between client drafting, contract counseling, and estate planning meetings. Colleagues and clients see him as a steady presence who prioritizes practical outcomes over courtroom posturing. He continues to handle estate planning and commercial contract matters at his Holland and Muskegon offices.
