About Adam
Adam Swanson earned his B.A. in Government and Politics from St. John’s University in 2001 and later took up legal studies at Quinnipiac University School of Law, completing his J.D. in 2008. While in law school he also worked as a research assistant at Quinnipiac, an experience that kept him close to scholarship and the practical demands of legal education.
Early in his career Swanson gained practical experience in title work and clerking. He served as a law clerk for First American Title Insurance Company of New York in 2004 and then for First American Title Insurance in 2005. Those positions placed him inside the operations of a national title insurer during the years he was finishing his legal studies.
After law school Swanson moved into private practice. In 2008 he joined Gregory and Adams, P.C. as a lawyer. That role followed several years of hands-on legal support and research, and represented his transition from student and clerk to practicing attorney.
Swanson is licensed to practice in both New York and Connecticut. His background combines courtroom-adjacent tasks, research duties and work inside a title insurance environment. He has experience on both sides of the table: assisting lawyers with legal research and serving in roles that required attention to transactional detail.
Colleagues describe Swanson as someone who arrived in practice with a steady record of practical internships and clerkships behind him. He spent the early 2000s alternating between academic work and positions in the title insurance sector, then took those experiences into private practice after receiving his J.D. in 2008.
Today Swanson maintains an active practice across the two jurisdictions where he is admitted. He continues to handle matters arising in New York and Connecticut and focuses his work on legal matters within those states.
