About Adam
Adam Schaffer moved from a political science undergraduate degree to a law degree in a relatively short span. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Saint Louis University School of Law in 2012. Those formative years shaped his interest in litigation and legal procedure and prepared him for the courtroom roles he would take on early in his career.
He entered private practice soon after law school. In 2013 he joined Stange Law Office, P.C. as an associate. The role involved typical associate responsibilities: researching legal issues, drafting filings, and supporting more senior attorneys on active matters. Over time he took on greater responsibility and transitioned to a senior associate role in 2016 at the same firm.
Also in 2016 he began work at Schlichter, Bogard & Denton as a staff lawyer. That move marked a shift in setting and in the scope of work he handled day to day. As a staff lawyer he contributed to case preparation and supported trial teams. The position placed him within a larger practice that handles a steady volume of civil matters across state lines.
Across his positions he has accumulated experience on both sides of case management. His record shows steady progression: associate, senior associate, then staff lawyer. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his approach. He has taken on discovery tasks, motion drafting and other litigation support tasks that keep cases moving from intake toward resolution.
Schaffer holds licensure in both Missouri and Illinois. That dual admission allows him to participate in matters that touch both states. It also reflects the geographic pattern of his education and early work, split between Chicago and St. Louis. He maintains familiarity with procedural rules and filing requirements in each jurisdiction.
He currently practices at Schlichter, Bogard & Denton and works on litigation matters arising in Missouri and Illinois. He focuses his current practice on serving the firm’s civil litigation needs in those jurisdictions.
