About Adam P

Adam P Stout built his path to law on a foundation in political science and courtroom training. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Florida and later completed a Juris Doctor at Florida Coastal School of Law in 2011. Those years in school gave him a working knowledge of trial procedure and the practical demands of litigation. He moved from classroom to courthouse intent on testing that knowledge in practice.

His early career placed him inside one of Florida’s busy criminal justice systems. In 2012 he served as a trial lawyer in the Miami-Dade State Lawyer’s Office, where he took on a steady docket of cases and gained hands-on trial experience. That role required quick case assessment, courtroom preparation and frequent appearances before judges and juries. In 2015 he joined the litigation division at the Law Offices of Schiller, Kessler & Gomez, PLC, working on contested matters that sharpened his litigation skills and exposed him to a range of procedural and evidentiary issues. In 2016 he began operating under the name Stout Defense, P.A., transitioning into private practice and taking primary responsibility for case strategy and client representation.

Stout’s experience spans pretrial motions, evidentiary hearings, plea negotiations and jury trials. He has worked on matters that demand a mix of tactical courtroom work and client counseling. The record shows a lawyer comfortable in adversarial proceedings and one who routinely manages the logistical demands of litigation—preparing witnesses, drafting motions, and arguing before courts. His time in a prosecution office and in private litigation has given him perspective on both sides of criminal cases, and that perspective informs how he evaluates case options and navigates procedural deadlines.

He is admitted to practice in the state of Florida and conducts his work under the name Stout Defense, P.A. In private practice he handles matters that require trial readiness as well as negotiated resolutions. Colleagues and clients see him as a lawyer who prepares cases for court while also exploring opportunities to resolve matters short of trial when appropriate. He currently concentrates on criminal defense and related trial work at Stout Defense, P.A.
