About Adam L.
Adam L. Slone built a legal foundation in the classroom before he entered the courtroom. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Marshall University in 2011 and completed his Juris Doctor at Capital University Law School in 2015. Those years framed his early interest in litigation and courtroom procedure.
After law school he moved into practice in the Ohio-West Virginia region. He is admitted to the bars of Ohio and West Virginia and authorized to appear in several federal courts, including the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia and the Southern District of Ohio. Those admissions allow him to handle cases in both state and federal forums.
His career has involved steady participation in trial-focused professional groups. He holds memberships in the Ohio Association for Justice and the American Association for Justice. He has also been active in additional professional organizations since the mid-2010s, attending continuing legal education and trial practice seminars that emphasize courtroom procedure and evidence handling. Colleagues describe him as methodical; he prepares for hearings and trials in a way that keeps deadlines and rules at the center of case strategy.
At the Brian G. Miller Co., LPA, Mr. Slone has taken on civil litigation matters spanning pretrial investigation, motion practice and courtroom appearances. He has handled filings in federal district courts and managed cases through discovery and dispositive motion practice. His work in litigation often requires coordinating experts, preparing witnesses and arguing complex motions at the trial court level.
Outside of active casework he maintains routine involvement in continuing education and association activities. That keeps him current on evolving evidentiary standards, procedural developments and recent federal court decisions that affect litigation in Ohio and West Virginia. He also familiarizes newer attorneys with practical courtroom skills when the opportunity arises.
Practical, attentive and procedural-minded, he applies courtroom tools learned in law school and refined through practice. He is based at Brian G. Miller Co., LPA, and handles civil litigation matters in state and federal courts in the Ohio–West Virginia region.
