About Adam

Adam Justinger practices on both sides of state and federal courtrooms across Minnesota and North Dakota. He is admitted to the Minnesota and North Dakota bars and to the United States District Courts for the Districts of Minnesota and North Dakota, as well as the Eighth Circuit. That range of admissions underpins work that frequently brings him from county courthouses to federal dockets.

His career includes leadership in the local legal community. In 2023 he served as president of the Cass County Bar Association, a role that required coordination among judges, prosecutors, defense counsel, and local practitioners. He joined the Inn of Court in 2022 and holds memberships in several professional associations dating to 2018: the State Bar Association of North Dakota, the Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the North Dakota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a Young Professionals Network. Those affiliations reflect ongoing engagement with peers and continuing legal education.

Colleagues describe him as steady in court and careful in preparation. His association with criminal defense organizations indicates a substantial portion of his work involves defending individuals in criminal matters. He has handled trial-level proceedings and appears regularly before judges in both rural and urban jurisdictions. His practice touches on procedural issues common to criminal litigation, including motions and evidentiary disputes, and he is comfortable in contested hearings.

He also represents clients in matters that reach federal court. Admission to the Eighth Circuit and both federal district courts in the region means he can follow cases through appellate filings when necessary. That ability to operate across different tribunals allows him to coordinate defense strategies that account for both state and federal procedural frameworks.

Adam works out of Severson, Wogsland, & Liebl. At the firm he handles trial preparation, client counseling, and court appearances. His daily work mixes courtroom time with case review and client meetings, and he maintains ties to bar groups that offer mentorship and professional development.

He balances casework and bar leadership while staying active in local legal circles. Currently he continues practicing at Severson, Wogsland, & Liebl, representing clients in criminal matters and related litigation in Minnesota and North Dakota.
