About Adam J.

Adam J. Siegelheim built a law degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, earning his J.D. in 1999 after completing a B.A. in political science at the University of Pittsburgh in 1996. He moved from the classroom into private practice at a time when franchise law was becoming more complex. Over the years he has developed a practice that combines transactional work, regulatory compliance, and client counseling.

He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and before the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. That admission set the stage for a career centered on franchise and business issues. He serves as a shareholder at Stark & Stark, where he handles matters that arise for franchisors and franchisees, as well as related corporate questions.

Outside the office he has stayed active in professional groups. He is a current member of the American Bar Association and the International Franchise Association. He belongs to the Mercer County Bar Association and chairs the Franchise Law Committee of the New Jersey State Bar Association. That committee role places him in the middle of state-level discussions about franchise regulation, registration and enforcement.

His practice involves drafting and negotiating franchise agreements, preparing disclosure documents and advising clients on state and federal franchise rules. He also works on transactions that touch franchise systems, including purchases and reorganizations. Clients seek practical guidance on compliance steps, renewal and termination provisions, and contractual terms that affect day-to-day operations.

Colleagues and clients describe him as steady and methodical in handling matter details. He approaches regulatory questions with attention to statutes and precedent. When disputes surface he assesses options that may include negotiated resolutions, administrative pathways, or litigation when necessary. He balances practical business considerations with legal requirements.

At Stark & Stark he combines committee work and association engagement with client service. His speaking and writing have touched on recurring franchise issues, and his committee leadership creates a regular forum for practitioners in New Jersey to exchange views. He represents franchisors and franchisees in franchise and business matters at Stark & Stark.
