About Adam J.

Adam J. Schleis studied politics before he turned to the law. He earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2010 and completed his J.D. at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2014. Those years framed his early interest in public service and in courtroom work.

While still in law school, Schleis spent time in a public defender's office as an intern in 2013. The internship exposed him to day-to-day courtroom procedures, client interviews and the realities of defense work in state courts. He has kept that practical perspective as a throughline in his career.

After law school he entered private practice. Records show that in 2022 he joined Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP as an associate. At the firm he is part of a team that handles matters for clients across Wisconsin. His role there involves the kinds of tasks commonly assigned to associates: legal research, drafting court filings, preparing for hearings and working directly with clients under partner supervision.

Schleis is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin. That membership places him among the cohort of lawyers licensed to practice in the state and subject to its professional rules. He maintains ties to the local legal community through that bar affiliation.

Colleagues and file work suggest a lawyer comfortable in both research and litigation support. He came of age professionally during a period of heavy courtroom activity in the state, and his earlier defender internship gave him early exposure to client-focused advocacy. Over time he has built on that foundation with the casework he handles at his firm.

He remains based in Wisconsin and has continued work at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP since joining as an associate. He currently practices as an associate at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP, representing clients in matters in the state of Wisconsin.
