About Adam Charles
Adam Charles Lease studied law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University and earned his J.D. in 2000. He spent his law school years immersed in the routines of legal study and courtroom observation. The diploma marked the start of a regional practice that would span New York and Pennsylvania.
After graduation, Lease became licensed to practice in both New York and Pennsylvania. He has navigated the procedural differences that come with dual admission and built a practice that reflects both state systems. Colleagues describe him as methodical in approach. He prepares filings carefully and treats pretrial work as a place where outcomes are often decided.
Lease's work is shaped by attention to factual detail and to the rules that govern civil procedure. He draws on classroom training from Pace and on years of practice to assess case strengths and weaknesses. That combination helps him manage case calendars, meet discovery deadlines, and respond to shifting litigation dynamics. He is experienced at presenting arguments in court and at handling negotiations outside it.
Over the years Lease has handled a range of matters for clients across New York and Pennsylvania. He represents individuals and entities, guiding them through complex paperwork and adversarial settings. He has worked on matters that required coordinated effort across jurisdictions and has collaborated with local counsel when cases crossed state lines. He is willing to take a matter through trial when that serves a client’s interests, but he also recognizes when settlement is the pragmatic route.
Lease joined KARPF, KARPF, & CERUTTI, P.C., where he applies his litigation skills on behalf of the firm’s clients. In that environment he works alongside other attorneys who handle multi-jurisdictional cases and heavy caseloads. His role entails drafting pleadings, arguing motions, and preparing witnesses for deposition and testimony. He balances courtroom work with the administrative demands of modern practice.
Today Lease maintains an active practice at KARPF, KARPF, & CERUTTI, P.C., representing clients in matters across New York and Pennsylvania.
